KARACHI (Dunya News) – Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar and Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah on Monday bickered over the scope of Karachi operation, Dunya News reported.

According to details, some complaints were also echoed in the high level meeting on law and order situation chaired by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. The interior minister and CM Sindh quarreled over the jurisdiction and scope of Rangers’ raids and Karachi operation.

The sources said that Ch Nisar complained saying that Sindh government has pledged to extend the Rangers’ authority but still delays it every time. He said the government has been pushing for extension of the operation’s scope to interior Sindh.

He said there are terrorists in interior Sindh as well and yet the jurisdiction hasn’t been widened. CM Sindh also counter-complained saying FIA raided an office of Sindh government and took key files from there.

The federal minister responded by saying that there was a reason for that raid and that he had been informed of this before.
