ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has on Sunday said that the details of California terror incident suspect Tashfeen Malik will be shared in accordance with the international laws. He said that a nation, country or religion cannot be held responsible for one person’s actions, reported Dunya News.
Holding a press conference in Islamabad, Nisar said that California firing incident must be condemned as much as possible. “It is said that a Pakistani woman’s name is attributed to this tragedy”, said Nisar. He said that Interior Ministry had started the investigations as soon as this name came forward. He told that all the reports in media about Tashfeen Malik were correct. “Tashfeen Malik belonged to Dera Ghazi Khan from where the family shifted to Saudi Arabia some 20 to 25 years ago. However, Malik kept visiting Pakistan and completed her education here. Later, she got married in Saudi Arabia and went to the United States from there”, said Nisar. He said that government of Pakistan has officially condemned the California incident with the US government and the US government has adopted a responsible attitude in this matter.
Nisar said that no US official met Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif in London and all such rumours are baseless. He said that all such rumours in the media had no truth in them. “There are certain objectives behind such reports. Intelligence information is shared through Ministry of Interior and Exterior. Information about Malik will be shared in accordance with the international laws”, he said.
Talking about Imran Farooq murder case, Chaudhry Nisar said that the government has nothing to do with the registration of this case. “Government is never a party to any case. It is always the state that is a party to a case”, he said. He added that the government only allowed the registration of the FIR in Imran Farooq murder case while the decision is to be taken by the court. He added that Imran Farooq murder case had been registered upon the investigations made by the Joint Investigation Team (JIT). He said that the timing of the case had also been decided by the JIT. The case registered on the basis of the investigations made by the JIT will be further investigated after which the case will go to the court.
Nisar said that nobody raised a question over why Mumbai attack case was being run in Pakistan.
