LAHORE (Dunya News) – Countrywide mourning processions took place in various cities to mark Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) where a large number of mourners recited Nohas in remembrance of the martyrdom, Dunya News reported.
The central procession in Karachi ended at Imam Bargah Hussainia Irania Kharadar while the central procession in Lahore ended at Karbala Gamay Shah.
According to details, the Chehlum was observed with respect and salutes for the martyred family of the holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The mourning processions were carried out in various cities.
In Karachi, the central procession started at Nishtar Park amid tight security surrounding and concluded after reaching Imam Bargah Hussainia Irania Kharadar. The participants kept mourning along the way.
The central procession in Lahore started at interior city Haveli Alif Shah Mochi Gate and concluded at Karbala Gamay Shah. The participants kept mourning and reciting Nohas to pay rich tributes to the martyrs of Karbala. Over 2000 policemen were deployed on the route of the procession.
In Quetta, the central procession was from Alamdar Road to Bahisht-e-Zainab. The procession in Rawalpindi started at Imam Bargah Taili Mohalla while in Multan, it concluded at 10 in the evening.
The processions were carried out in Faisalabad, Rahim Yar Khan, Mianwali, Bahawalnagar, Sukkur, Larkana, Shikarpur, Nawab Shah, Skardu among other cities.
