Summary He said in his conclusion India can never 'reclaim' parts of freed Kashmir

(Web Desk) – Former ‘chief minister’ of the Indian occupied Kashmir, Farooq Abdullah on Thursday defended his earlier statement saying that India does not have the power to ‘retrieve’ parts of Jammu and Kashmir governed by Pakistan – essentially Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Abdullah told reporters in Sri Nagar that after years of political experience, he is able to conclude that India can never ‘reclaim’ the part of free Kashmir.

He proposed the Line of Control (LoC) can at some point become international border with control over the territory remaining as it is today, claiming that this would resolve so many problems between the nuclear-armed neighbours.

The Jammu and Kashmir region is a disputed territory with major part of it occupied by India since the partition between India and Pakistan. Both countries have fought at least 3 full-fledged wars over it.
