KARACHI (Dunya News) – Three terrorists killed in Rangers encounter a day before in Karachi’s Lyari area were identified today (Thursday).

According to spokesperson of Sindh Rangers, the terrorists have been identified by the name of Hazrat Bilal, Siraj Gul and Umar Rana alias Laptop.

The spokesperson stated that Hazrat Bilal belongs to banned Tehreek-e-Taliban group Abid Machar and was involved in target killing of six people, street crimes and grenade attack on Sohrab Goth police check-post.

On the other hand, Siraj Gul also belonging to Tehreek-e-Taliban is accused of blowing up schools in FATA, robbing weapons and ammunition trucks of law enforcement agencies and kidnapping eight Frontier Corps’ (FC) officials.

The last terrorist Umar Rana alias Laptop is involved in four target killing activities during 2014 and use to inspect the murder acts.

Earlier on wednesday, continuing the crackdown against criminal elements in the city Rangers killed three suspects during a clash in Lyari while 25 alleged suspects were arrested from Saddar and surrounding areas.

Prior to Hazrat Imam Hussain’s ‘Chehlum’, a heavy contingent of police and Rangers conducted a joint operation in areas where the central procession is to pass and its surroundings.

According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) South, 25 suspected individuals were taken into custody. The individuals have been shifted to different police stations for interrogation.

Meanwhile, two target killers were also apprehended from Rizwia. The suspects have confessed to the target killing of 12 people.
