Coast Guards rescue 22 Iran-bound migrants abducted by rival agent in Gwadar

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Pakistan Coast Guards on Wednesday has rescued as many as 22 abducted persons who were on way to Iran through illegal channel.

Details have it that at least 22 Iran-bound illegal migrants were kidnapped by rival agent from a bus which was headed to Gwadar from Karachi. The bus was stopped near Balochistan s Pasni. 

Abductors checked national identity cards (NIC) of bus passengers and kidnapped the persons. The illegal migrants hail from different parts of Pakistan.

Spokesperson for the Pakistan Coast Guards has said that strict security arrangements have been made on sea routes to counter human trafficking.

Several Pakistanis have been arrested near Taftan in the past after paying a heavy amount to agents in order to reach European countries via Iran and Turkey through illegal routes.

The FIA arrests thousands of Pakistanis every year from Taftan and other border areas in Balochistan who want to reach European countries for jobs.
