Summary US would speed up efforts for elimination of terrorists, vows Barack Obama
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif on Saturday has strongly condemned Paris attacks and said that the country stands united with France in tough times.
In a statement issued, the PM said that terrorists belong to no religion and nationality. Militants are enemies of humanity.
He said that Pakistan has been fighting terrorism for a long time and is succeeding significantly now. He vowed to continue war on terror and support all militant-hit countries in the cause for a better world.
On the other hand, British PM David Cameron said that English stand with the bereaved families and the French government in what turned out to be massacre of innocence. In a message on social media website, Cameron stated that Britain is ready to help France in every way it can.
United Nations (UN) has strongly condemned the attacks which have claimed more than 160 lives. UN Secretary General Ban-Ki Moon has termed the act of terror an abomination.
While talking to the media at the White House, United States (US) President Barack Obama said that US would speed up efforts for elimination of terrorists and would bring extremists to justice with help of France.
Several other foreign leaders have condemned the attacks including Indian PM Narendra Modi, German Chancellor, Russian President Putin and the Canadian PM.
Extremist outfit Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) has claimed responsibility of the attacks.
Foreign Office (FO) spokesperson has said that the people of Pakistan are with French government. In a statement issued, the office stated that Pakistan strongly condemns attacks in Paris.
The department stated that Pakistanis are praying for immediate recovery of the injured and courage for the grieving families.
