Pakistan, Belarus sign MoUs to strengthen economic, mutual ties

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Pakistan and Belarus on Tuesday have signed a roadmap for fast track and middle track economic cooperation in Islamabad.
The document to this effect was signed by Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif and Belarus Prime Minister (PM) Andrei Kobyakov during his first ever visit to Pakistan.
The two sides also signed seventeen other agreements, Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) and protocols on cooperation in diverse fields.
These relate to collaboration and cooperation in health, custom matters, agriculture, education, trade, economy, scientific, technical, humanitarian and cultural fields.
Upon his arrival Belarusian Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov was given official reception at the Prime Minister House.
According to Foreign Office, Prime Minister Kobyakov s visit will help in strengthening the existing ties between the two countries.
Pakistan and Belarus enjoy close and cordial relations. PM Nawaz visited Belarus in August 2015. Earlier, the Belarus President Mr. Alexander Lukashenko had paid a State visit to Pakistan in May this year.
