PTI has also announced that Azam Swati will not be given any local responsibility in future

PESHAWAR: (Dunya News) – In what appears to be the strongest action taken by the party so far, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has on Sunday decided to oust Amjad Afridi from the party and has also declared MPA Yasin Khalil unfit for any party position in the future. Moreover, it has also been announced that PTI leader from Mansehra Azam Khan Swati will never be given any responsibility at the local level in future, reported Dunya News.

According to details, the decision has come in the light of the gross violation of the party discipline during Khyber Pakhtunkhawa (KP) local body elections. A committee had been set up under the headship of PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi to investigate the complaints about violation of party discipline and the committee ordered ousting Amjad Afridi and deeming Yasin Khalil unfit for any party position.

Yasin Khalil had been alleged of having stopped voters from voting for councillors. The committee also warned MNA Shehryar Afridi and MPA Zia Ullah Bangash for violating party discipline and a strict warning has been sent to MPA Arif Yousuf.

The committee also issued warning to Azam Khan Swati for having failed to look after the interests of the party in Mansehra and recommended that he shouldn’t be given any party position in future.

The committee was headed by Shah Mehmood Qureshi while Naeem ul-Haq, Saif Ullah Niazi and Fazal Khan were other members of the committee.
