Summary SC further stated that companies can contact PTA over the issue of SIMs quantity.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Supreme Court (SC) on Thursday has allowed to issue five mobile phone SIMs and three internet SIMs on a single national identity card (CNIC).
According to details, a private mobile phone company submitted a plea, pertaining to permit internet SIMs on CNIC. During the hearing, the organization’s counsel argued that we have purchased 4G license in 56 crore dollars but the users are restricted to name only five SIMs on one CNIC.
He said that the authorities should take steps to promote 4G technology in the country by letting the masses to have further three internet SIMs on the same identity card.
Subsequently, the court accepted the plea and stated that the mobile phone companies can contact Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) in case of SIMs quantity.
