CJP directs Secy Establishment to suspend DPO Sialkot

Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has taken suo moto notice of news in connection with the brutal torture on two young brothers in public in Sialkot, which led to their death. CJP during the proceeding of the case has expressed extreme dissatisfaction over the response of DPO Sialkot Waqar Chauhan over handling the case.CJP has summoned the Secretary Establishment to suspend DPO Sialkot. The relatives of the victims cried in agony and despair while the Dunya Tv footage of the incident was being shown in the court.According to details, dozens of people beat two young brothers to death with batons in public in Sialkot in front of eight police officials and a big mass gathering while DPO Sialkot Waqar Chauhan was also present during the incident.It is pertinent to mention that at least eight police officials kept watching the two young brothers being tortured to death but anyone did nothing, video footages showed. After, the two brothers had died of baton charges, their dead bodies were upside down at the roundabout, but the reason behind this inhumane incident is not clear yet.Earlier Chief Justice Lahore High Court Khawaja Muhammad Sharif has rejected the report of the police presented in connection with the killings of the brothers. In his remarks CJ urged that the Court was forced to take suo moto action because IG police did not take notice of the incident.
