Summary The arms were dumped underground by terrorists.
PESHAWAR (Web Desk) - In a major achievement in ongoing anti-terrorism operation, security forces have unearthed huge quantity of weapons and ammunition during action in Khyber Agency on Wednesday.
According to sources, the arms were dumped underground by terrorists for carrying out terrorist activities in the area.
The seized arms and ammunition include mortar shells, rocket launchers, SMGs, LMGs and thousands of rounds.

Khyber is one of Pakistan s seven semi-autonomous tribal areas which have been at the forefront of militancy that began after Taliban and Al-Qaeda fighters fled across the Afghan border following the US-led invasion of that country.
Pak Army began a long-awaited push to clear insurgent bases from the North Waziristan tribal district in June last year after a bloody Taliban attack on Karachi airport sank faltering peace talks.
The army has intensified its offensive since the Taliban’s massacre of 153 people, 134 of them children, in a school in the northwestern city of Peshawar last December.
More than three thousand militants have been killed in operation Zarb-e-Azb.
