Summary Accepting responsibility for PTI's poor performance, Shafqat Mehmood resigned from party position
LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader, and party’s only MNA from Lahore (NA-126), Shafqat Mehmood has on Sunday resigned as the District In-charge of PTI Lahore, accepting the responsibility of poor performance in the local body elections, reported Dunya News.
Accepting the responsibility of the defeat, Shafqat Mehmood resigned from his party position. In a statement issued on social networking website Twitter, Shafqat Mehmood said that PTI performed worse than expected. He said that he tried his best but it wasn’t good enough and therefore, “I have today resigned as Lahore organizer”.
