Pakistan to receive 34 T-37 aircraft from Turkey for free

An agreement was signed after 11th meeting of HLMDG in Ankara.
ANKARA (Web Desk) - Pakistan and Turkey signed a landmark defence cooperation agreement today (Thursday) under which Turkey will provide Pakistan with thirty four T-37 trainer-cum-fighter jets and spare parts on a gratis basis.
An agreement was signed between Director General Defence Procurement Maj Gen Naveed Ahmed and Chief of Logistics Turkey Maj Gen Serdar Gulbas after conclusion of the 11th Meeting of the Pakistan-Turkey High Level Military Dialogue Group (HLMDG) in Ankara.
T-37 is a trainer and light-attack aircraft.
On the occasion, the Secretary Defence Lt Gen (Retd) Muhammad Alam Khattak observed that 11th Pakistan-Turkey High Level Meeting Dialogue Group has proved very successful and expressed satisfaction over unanimity of views on a number of issues between the countries.
