Summary Asma Jahangir group is winning the SCBA presidential election from the past five years.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Polling for annual election of Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) is underway in Islamabad which will continue till 5 p.m.
Tough contest is expected between Syed Ali Zafar nominated by Asma Jhangeer group and Pir Kaleem Khurshid of Hamid Khan group for the post of President of the Association.
Besides this, renowned lawyer Aftab Bajwa from Asma Jhangeer group and Asad Manzoor Butt from Hamid Khan group are in stiff competition for the seat of General Secretary.

Approximately 24 candidates are contesting in the SCBA polls whereas the total number of voters stands at 2697 with 392 from the federal government.
