Summary MQM leader Rasheed Godil has termed the former MQM leader Nabeel Gabol's claim baseless

KARACHI: (Dunya News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Rasheed Godil has on Friday said that he is not thinking of leaving the party and the claim by former MQM MNA Nabeel Gabol in this regard is completely baseless, reported Dunya News.

In his first conference after recovering from the injury, Rasheed Godil said that some people claimed that I was going to leave the party. He said that there is no such idea in his mind and all the claims are entirely baseless. “I was with MQM in the past and I am with MQM today”, said Godil.

Godil further said that he doesn’t have enough money to go abroad to get treated and the government is not helping him either. He seemed unfit even during the press conference.

Nabeel Gabol s claim about Rasheed Godil

In an interview to a private TV channel on August 8, 2015, Nabeel Gabol, who had left MQM earlier this year, had said that Rasheed Godil was not happy with the leadership since he had been removed from his post as the Parliamentary Leader of MQM. He went on to claim that Rasheed Godil and several other leaders of MQM were receiving threats from the same place. He said that all the MQM leaders had been receiving all these threats from the same person who had been threatening him as well. However, he didn t name the person threatening him and other MQM leaders.

Farooq Sattar s response to Nabeel Gabol

Responding to Gabol s claims on the same show, MQM leader Dr. Farooq Sattar had also termed the claims as baseless and had said that such allegations on MQM weren t new. He said that the allegations carried no substance and MQM wasn t worried about these allegations. It is pertinent to mention here that Sattar was one of the people who were mentioned by Gabol of receiving threats.

Talking to another private media channel, Nabeel Gabol said that there was every chance of the attempted murder on Rasheed Godil being an insider s job. He said that Rasheed Godil had several greivances against the party and that the possibility of the attack on him being an insider s job could not be ruled out.

However, Rasheed Godil rejected the claims made by the former MQM leader about him. He said that he had no differences with the party and was not considering leaving the party at all. He termed Gabol s claim as baseless and said that he has always stood by his party and will continue to do so in the future as well.
