Summary Maleeha Lodhi said India should have responded positively to PM Nawaz’s proposals
WASHINGTON (Dunya News) – Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations (UN) Maleeha Lodhi on Thursday said while speaking at the UN General Assembly session that UN resolutions have to be implemented in order to give Kashmiris their due rights.
She said there’s no point in holding negotiations without involvement of Kashmiri leaders. Ms Lodhi said Pakistan is ready to negotiate with India; however, India should have given a positive response to Pakistan’s four-point proposal.
She said Pakistan will continue to play its role for establishment of peace in Afghanistan.

Pakistan’s Foreign Office (FO) spokesperson has on Thursday warned Indian state elements to stop conspiring against Pakistan. FO spokesperson said that clear evidence of Indian interference in Pakistan is available.
Reacting strongly to Indian interference in Pakistan, FO said that state elements of India are conspiring against Pakistan and warned Indian government to stop pursuing the policy of conspiracies. FO spokesperson said that there is irrefutable evidence of Indian interference in Pakistan. FO spokesperson expressed concern over the attempt by Indian extremists to foil former Foreign Minister Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri’s book launch ceremony in New Delhi and the threats to revered Pakistani singer Ghulam Ali.
The FO spokesperson told that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will visit the United States of America (USA) from October 20 to 23 and will meet US President Barack Obama and other important officials of USA and discuss terrorism, regional security situation and other matters of mutual interest with them.
Earlier this month, Dr. Maleeha Lodhi had also stated that Pakistan would have given evidence of Indian interference in Pakistan had it come to negotiations.

Maleeha Lodhi said that she has handed over proof of Indian interference in Pakistan to UN. She said that Pakistan’s sole aim is that of peace which it wants to establish through dialogue.
She said that Pakistan’s stance on Kashmir is clear. Maleeha Lodhi said that Pakistan wants to raise the issue on every international forum.
Commenting on India, she said that their neighbours have not stopped its barrage of accusations while committing violations of the cease fire agreement. Dr Maleeha Lodhi expressed these views in an exclusive interview to Dunya News in New York.
In September too, FO had raised the issue of Indian interference in Pakistan with world powers.
