OKARA (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate in Okara’s NA-144 constituency Ashraf Sohna faced a humiliating defeat on Sunday’s by-election and as a result, his deposit has been confiscated, Dunya News reported.

Sohna, who had joined PTI after quitting Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) contested the much hyped election but could only secure 7049 votes. As a result, his security deposit has been confiscated.

The election was won by an independent candidate Riazul Haq ‘Judge’ and on the second number was Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) Ali Arif.
