LAHORE (Dunya News) – Security was tightened in the city of Lahore on Sunday as the polling time for the NA-122 by-election starts. In an effort to curb any troublesome activity, Section 144 has also been imposed in the city by the District Coordination Officer (DCO) barring political workers of any party on the show of ammunition.
According to the Capital City Police Officer Lahore Amin Wains, snipers will be posted on rooftops of buildings adjacent to polling stations while soldiers of Pakistan army will also be deployed at all polling stations along with an alert contingent of Elite Force.
Wains also stated that officers of police and Mujahid squad will patrol the constituency to maintain law and order.
