Summary 6 parties of SIC announced support for PTI, Jahangir Tareen says NA-154 stay order will be lifted
LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Jamaat Islami (JI) and the 6-party alliance of Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) on Monday announced support for Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) in NA-122. Secretary General PTI Jahangir Tareen said that the stay order in Lodhran’s NA-154 will also be lifted soon, reported Dunya News.
Political maneuvering is at its peak in NA-122 as PTI secured the support of SIC and JI as well. JI leadership said that they were also contacted by Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) but the leaders decided in PTI’s favor.
SIC announced support for PTI and also warned the government that nobody will be able to rig the election this time. Jahangir Tareen said on this occasion that PML-N has never won an election without rigging.
Former Governor Punjab, and now a PTI leader, Chaudhry Sarwar said that October 11 will prove to be a referendum in Lahore. PTI leaders said that October 11 will prove to be the Day of Judgment for the rulers.
Earlier: PML-N obtained the support of various religious groups and minorities for NA-122 by-election.
Earlier, Various religious scholars and minorities’ leaders met Hamza Shahbaz to assure him of their support. Talking to media on this occasion, Hamza said that Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan wasted Pakistan’s 126 days.
In his verbal attack on PTI, Saad Rafique said that PML-N contests the election on the basis of performance while PTI knows ‘politics of allegations’ only. He said that he will respond to Election Commission of Pakistan’s (ECP) legal notices for attending election campaign in NA-122.
