KARACHI (Dunya News) – Chairman Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Nasir Jafar on Saturday said that action within legal bounds will be taken against the pilots, Dunya News reported.

Lashing out at the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), PIA chairman complained that they are being blamed for everything. He said Pakistan Airline Pilots’ Association (PALPA) has demanded a 100% increase in salaries.

Criticizing Adviser for Aviation Shujaat Azeem, Jafar said the former failed to issue a statement on PALPA issue and did not face the media.

Meanwhile, PIA spokesperson has made it clear that an invitation to negotiate has been extended to the PALPA president by the CAA. “It is up to PALPA to give time for negotiations”, they said.
