SHEIKHUPURA: (Dunya News) – Citizen paid heavily in Sheikhupura for not supporting the government candidate for local body (LB) elections. He claimed that the police first made a narcotics case against him and then broke into his house and damaged the appliances there. The victims recorded strong protest against alleged police highhandedness, reported Dunya News.

Kot Pindi Das resident Abdullah Bhatti has alleged that he was being persecuted because he had announced support for the independent candidate instead of the government candidate, upon which Factory Area police, headed by SHO Rafi Ullah Niazi, raided his house, destroyed several appliance and also used force against women. The victims staged protest against the alleged highhandedness by police.

However, police strongly denied the allegations, saying that drugs were found from Rafi Ullah’s home and was now doing this propaganda in order to get away with the legal action.
