Keen to develop good ties with India but no compromise on sovereignty: Army Chief

LONDON (Dunya News) – Army Chief General Raheel Sharif has said that Pakistan wants better relations with India but no compromise would be made on dignity and sovereignty.

Talking on the reception event held at Pakistan High Commission in London, he said that Pakistan’s armed forces will root out the menace of terrorism from the country and will not leave operation Zarb-e-Azb incomplete.

He said that Pakistan wishes to have improved ties with India including all other neighbouring countries but no compromise will be made on dignity and sovereignty.

Army Chief stated that more than 10,000 intelligence operations were conducted in the country in which terrorists and their accomplices were targeted.

Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby, Lord Nazir, MP Khalid Mehmood, Labour Party MP Gerald Kaufman and many other parliamentarians attended the reception given in the honour of Army Chief.
