LAHORE (Dunya News) – Lahore High Court’s (LHC) Justice Faisal Zaman on Wednesday has excused himself from hearing case of appointments in National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

Petitioner’s counsel Azhar Siddique had stated that as many as 19 persons were appointed as deputy directors without prior advertisements in newspapers. He alleged that these appointments were done on political basis and merit was overlooked.

He urged the LHC to annul the ‘illegal’ appointments. However, Justice Zaman has excused himself from hearing the case due to personal reasons. The file has been returned to Chief Justice (CJ) Manzoor Malik.
