Summary Nepra reports point out several shortcomings including false metres and wrong billing, says Khan
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Tuesday has said that the ruling party deceived the people and pocketed crores of rupees through over-billing.
He criticised the government and said that letting unregistered plants function while keeping government plants closed is a dishonest approach. Khan said that Nepra’s annual reports for years 2014 and 2015 are saddening but surely not unexpected.
He said that Nepra reports prove government’s lie to the people. The reports prove that the government failed in overcoming issues with energy growth, he added. Khan said that the party’s dismal progress despite being in power six times in Punjab and three times in federation is unjustified.
The ruling party is only experienced in keeping the “Sharif state running financially,” he added. The PTI chairman further said that Nepra reports point out several shortcomings including false metres and wrong billing.
