LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab government on Monday has decided to alter Animals Slaughter Control Act as summary of the proposed amendments has been forwarded to Chief Minister of Punjab (CM) Shahbaz Sharif.
According to summary, a six-month sentence and Rs 1 lac fine have been recommended on the slaughter of young and female animals whereas an eight-month imprisonment and Rs 5 lac fine have been decided for those selling dead animal meat.
The amendment would be presented in Punjab Assembly after getting approval from CM Punjab.
