LAHORE – (Dunya News) Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif on Saturday will meet German Chancellor and presidents of Sri Lanka and China in New York.
The PM reached New York today accompanied by his wife, Kalsoom Nawaz. He will address the United Nations (UN) General Assembly’s 70th meeting on the September 30.
According to the details, the PM was greeted by Pakistan’s Ambassador Maleeha Lodhi and the staff of the embassy. Sharif, along with US President Barak Obama, will host the UN peace summit. He will also participate in a high level meeting regarding gender equality and women empowerment which will be hosted by China’s President Xi Jinping.
The PM will also meet world leaders in between periods of the UN General Assembly meeting. According to Pakistan’s diplomats, PM Nawaz will also highlight Pakistan’s stance regarding economic development and relations with its neighbors.
PM Nawaz Sharif will explain Pakistan’s position on regional and international issues including Jammu and Kashmir. He is expected to raise issue of Indian terrorist activities on Pakistan’s soil.
