ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Directorate Hajj Abu Akif has confirmed that as many as 316 Pakistani pilgrims are still missing, 7 dead while 13 are injured, Dunya News reported.
As the extent of tragedy unfolds, it has been revealed that originally 402 Pakistanis were missing and the count has reduced to 316 after contact was established with 86.
Akif confirmed that 7 Pakistanis are confirmed dead while 13 were wounded. He said report of missing Karachi women and former Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani’s nephew is registered and that the search process is ongoing.
As many as 717 pilgrims embraced martyrdom and over 800 were injured as result of a stampede during Rami process in Mina yesterday (Thursday).
