Islamabad: Authorities refuse PTI permission to hold rally on October 4
A meeting of local PTI officials has also been called regarding the rally.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) -- Islamabad district administration refused Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to hold a rally outside Election Commission on October 4. PTI has vowed to hold the rally at same location as well, reported Dunya News.
Islamabad administration has argued that no rally can be held in the red zone under Section 144 adding that No political rally or protest can be held in the red zone limit. District administration said should PTI intend to hold a rally outside the red zone, it should notify its strategy adding that security arrangements for the rally, code of conduct, traffic plan, parking space necessary to for the rally have to be taken care of.
On the other hand, PTI spokesperson has vowed that party will hold the rally on October 4. A meeting of local PTI officials has also been called regarding the rally. The meeting, which will be chaired by Saif Ullah Niazi, will decide future course of action for holding the rally.
