RAWALPINDI: (Dunya News) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif has on Monday approved the hanging of 9 terrorists to death and sentencing 1 to life imprisonment. The sentenced terrorists were involved in attacks on common people and security officials, reported Dunya News.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) department, the terrorists being hanged also include the ones responsible for killing Major General Sanaullah and Colonel Tauseef. Sentences of the terrorists involved in suicide attack on Nowshehra mosque, sectarian killings in Mastung and attacks on security officials in Khyber Pakhtunkhawa (KP) have also been approved.
Army chief approved the sentencing of 1 terrorist to life imprisonment. ISPR told that the cases of these terrorists, involved in heinous crimes, were being heard in military courts and all the cases were heard separately in complete detail.
On the other hand, Sindh Apex Committee has recommended 10 more cases to the military courts and summary for this purpose has also been sent to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
