KARACHI: (Dunya News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Rabita Committee has on Monday said that the workers that went to India had nothing do with the party of the party policy. The committee said that thousands of workers fled the country during the ’92 operation to save their lives but that had nothing to do with the party policy, reported Dunya News.

In a policy statements issued today, Rabita Committee made it clear that the workers that received training in India never got approval from the party nor was it part of MQM’s policy. The committee appealed that the bitter memories of the past must be forgotten and MQM should be allowed to stay in the mainstream. Rabita Committee said that the injustices committed during ’92 operation are part of the record and thousands of workers fled Pakistan to save their lives. They said that some of the workers might have taken refuge in India, but they neither did it with party’s approval nor was it part of the party’s policy.

Rabita Committee also said that the training of MQM workers in India has nothing to do with the party or its policy. It was appealed in the statement that use of power should be avoided and bitter memories of the past should be forgotten in line with the reconciliation with the Baloch. It said that MQM has always remained loyal to Pakistan in the past and still is.
