Summary Do you know Pakistan has three capitals? One inside the country while 2 outside
LAHORE: (Web Desk, Dunya News) – Although Islamabad is the political capital of Pakistan but most of the political activities and agreements are signed in Dubai and London, reported Dunya News.
The historic deal on National reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) between the slain Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Benazir Bhutto and former president Pervez Musharraf was struck in Dubai while the Charter of Democracy (COD) was signed between Benazir and the current Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was signed in 2006 in London.
These days, former president Asif Ali Zardari is residing in Dubai and he is not coming to Karachi which is just at a 2-hour flight from Dubai. Whether it is a meeting of the Sindh cabinet or the party consultations on local body elections, all the activities are taking place in Dubai.
Party leaders and workers are waiting for their leadership to return but when they see no hope of him coming back to Pakistan, they are left with no other options but to leave for Dubai.
