(Web Desk) – The deadly heat wave in Karachi has left another three people dead as temperature in the largest metropolitan soars to 42 degree Celsius. The intense heat can cause diarrhea and sunstroke which can be fatal. Here are a few tips to survive the fresh heat wave in Karachi.
1) Drink plenty of water and fluids
2) Eat watermelon, melon and drink juices of seasonal fruits
3) Avoid going out during the day unless absolutely necessary
4) Cover your head and neck if you have to go out
5) Avoid physically exhausting activities
Children and elders are the most vulnerable to heat stroke as they can suffer from diarrhea and need special care. Here are some of the symptoms of the heat stroke. Take them as indication of need for urgent medical care.
