COAS, PAF chief meet injured men at Peshawar CMH

PESHAWAR (Web Desk) - Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif and Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman today (Friday) visited the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Peshawar to meet injured law enforcement personnel.

According to ISPR, the injured personnel are in high morale and spirits.

More than a dozen terrrorists attacked a residential compound in PAF airbase in Badaber area of Peshawar, martyring at least 29 people in their deadliest assault in months following a major military offensive against them.

Soldiers moved rapidly to surround the attackers, confining them to a small area and killing at least 13 of them, according to DG ISPR Major General Asim Bajwa.

The militants attacked a mosque within the camp compound and martyred 16 people offering dawn prayers. Separately army captain  was martyred in fighting with the insurgents.

At least 10 soldiers were wounded in the incident.
