Pakistan hands over Indian woman to BSF 'who crossed border by mistake'

Summary Akhtar was sent back to her homeland at Satwal sector’s crossing point

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Indian national, Shamim Akhtar on Friday has been repatriated after she mistakenly crossed border.

According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), Akhtar, a resident of Nakarkot village in Poonch district of occupied Kashmir was handed over to Indian authorities. The Indian citizen had unintentionally trespassed Pakistani border on August 25.

Akhtar was sent back to her homeland at Satwal sector’s crossing point. The act comes as a goodwill gesture by Pakistan.
