ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Finance Ministry on Thursday has issued notification ordering to reduce unnecessary expenses. According to the notification, only law enforcement departments can buy new cars but with the permission of the authorities.
The ministry has banned new appointments in all the departments however, hiring can only be made for development projects. A ban has been imposed on official lunch and dinner whereas only one newspaper would be bought for higher officials daily.
Moreover, principal accounting officers are required to inspect utility bills.
