Summary The dialogue is part of a bi-annual meeting between the two countries.

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – A meeting between the chiefs of the Pakistan Rangers and the Indian Border Security Force has started in New Delhi on Thursday.

Director General of the Pakistan Rangers (Punjab) Major General Umar Farooq Barki is leading the 15-member delegation.

The agenda for the three-day talks include recent firing over the Line of Control and Working Boundary, violation of Pakistani airspace, cross-border smuggling and  handing over of people who crossed the border mistakenly.

The talks, one of the measures agreed upon during a meeting between Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi in Ufa, gain special significance after the National Security Adviser level talks could not take place last month due to Pakistan s insistence on discussing Kashmir.
