Unprovoked attack on Working Boundary by Indian forces leaves 8 dead, several wounded
ISPR says the Indian attack was responded befittingly
SIALKOT (Dunya News) – At least 8 civilians were killed while another 50 including mother and son were severely wounded after Indian forces opened unprovoked firing across Sialkot Working Boundary, Dunya News reported.
The cowardly attack was responded to by the Pakistan forces that only targeted Indian check-posts and not the civilian populations.
In yet another ceasefire violation by the Indian forces, several localities of Sialkot district including Bajra Garhi, Sajeet Garh, Charwah, Harpal and Chaprar Sector were targeted. Those wounded include 22 women and several children.
The surroundings of Kundanpur village and many other localities near the working boundary were crushed by the Indian firing and mortar shelling. The mortar shelling left roofs of several houses collapsed while the walls still carry marks of the shelling and firing.
People are forced to relocate to places of safety after locking down their houses and deserting the area. Scenes of patriotism were seen during the funeral prayers of the martyrs in Kundanpur. The participants were carrying Pakistan flags and protested against Indian aggression and Modi government.

Army Chief says Pakistan is well-aware of Indian intrusion and sponsoring of terrorism in Pakistan
Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif visited the injured civilians in hospitals and said the army is well aware of Indian involvement behind terrorist attacks in several of Pakistani cities.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), General Raheel Sharif inspected Sialkot Working Boundary and Rangers Headquarters where he was briefed on the situation.
Talking at the occasion, General Raheel Sharif said that army is well aware of Indian aggression on the border and Indian involvement in acts of terrorism in Pakistani cities adding that there is a relation between terrorist attacks and violations on Working Boundary. He further said that India is showing no regard for international laws by committing acts of aggression along Line of Control and Working Boundary.

Pakistan has summoned Indian High Commissioner and Deputy High Commissioner and recorded protest over the ceasefire violations.
