Summary All four members have not been appointed on merit, says PTI’s counsel
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Monday has filed reference against four Election Commission of Pakistan’s (ECP) officials.
PTI’s legal representative Gohar Nawaz Sindhu said that after verdicts of the judicial commission and election tribunal, there is no reason for ECP officials to continue services.
He said that all four members have not been appointed on merit. Sindh said that the reference requests the supreme judicial council to terminate the officials and initiate action.
ECP said that the department welcomes PTI chief Imran Khan s decision to approach the council in the matter. However, the department resolved to face the allegations and give a befitting reply.
