ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Joint Economic Commission s (JEC) meeting between Pakistan and Afghanistan on Monday has been cancelled due to martyrdom of as many as four security personnel in a rocket attack by Afghanistan.
The two-day forum was to convene today in the federal capital. Sources said that Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and his Afghanistan counterpart Aqeel Hakeemi along with economic experts from both sides were to participate.
On August 23, a rocket launched from Afghanistan side martyred four Pakistan security personnel.
However, the cancelled meeting was likely to finish with some important decisions for strengthened economic cooperation between the two sides.
