Summary Rangers returned shortly after patrolling streets around MQM center

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Rangers mobile arrived at Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) headquarter to patrol just when Raabta Committee member Farooq Sattar was addressing a press conference, Dunya News reported.

Announcing Rangers’ arrival, Farooq Sattar said he doesn’t know why Rangers are outside the MQM headquarter.

The Rangers contingent started patrolling on the streets around the MQM center and returned without making any arrests.

Farooq Sattar told the media during his press conference that the Rangers personnel are outside and that he doesn’t know why.

MQM leader said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif should take a notice of this if he is still in Karachi. He complained that PM Nawaz neither met MQM leaders, nor addressed their concerns upon arrival in Karachi.

Reportedly, a statement from Rangers as being quoted on the media said that Rangers patrolling around Nine-Zero was a routine matter.

MQM, in a statement issued later, also said that Rangers personnel arrived at MQM’s MP hostel but returned after passing by Khursheed Begum Secretariat.
