Summary Pakistan was to host the Commonwealth Conference for the first time from 29 September to 8 October
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan refused to show flexibility on Kashmir issue as it decided to cancel Commonwealth Conference over the invitation of assembly of Occupied Jammu & Kashmir on Thursday, reported Dunya News.
Talking during a press conference, Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq said that Pakistan will not back down on Kashmir issue. He said that Pakistan has made it clear to the London secretariat that if the issue of inviting the assembly of Occupied Jammu & Kashmir is pressed then Pakistan will not host the Commonwealth Conference.
It should be kept in mind that Pakistan was to host the Commonwealth Conference for the first time from 29 September to 8 October in Islamabad.
Talking about resignations of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Ayaz Sadiq said that the decision would be taken according to law, constitution and the decision of High Court. He said that he will write a book on the resignations tendered by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and MQM in which he will explain how the both parties asked him not to accept the resignations.
