Summary Elections will take place in 3 stages instead of 2 as per the new strategy
LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Punjab government has prepared a strategy to hold local government elections in the province in stages and it recommends holding the election in three stages instead of two, Dunya News reported.
According to sources, the Punjab government has made a recommendation to conduct the local body elections in three stages while preparing a comprehensive strategy for it.
As per the new strategy, the election in Lahore, Gujranwala and Rawalpindi will take place on October 9, whereas the second stage will see elections in Faisalabad, Sargodha and Sahiwal on November 11. Similarly, the third stage will be to hold election in Dera Ghazi Khan, Bahawalpur and Multan division in December.
