Summary CJ LHC rejected Home Ministry's request of judicial inquiry into Kasur’s child abuse case
LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Chief Justice (CJ) Lahore High Court (LHC) Manzoor Ahmed Malik has on Monday rejected Punjab government’s request to hold judicial inquiry into Kasur’s child abuse case, reported Dunya News.
Rejecting the request from Home Ministry Punjab, Chief Justice said that the process of suspects’ arrest in Kasur child abuse case is still going on while physical remand of the suspects has also been obtained for the investigation. He said that the case is being inquired by the police so there is no need for a judicial inquiry.
It is pertinent to mention here that Punjab government had written a letter to CJ LHC requesting a judicial inquiry of the Kasur child abuse case by District and Session Judge Kasur but Justice Manzoor Ahmed Malik has rejected the request.
