Summary Federal minister Khawaja Saad Rafique addressed a gathering in Lahore.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique on Saturday asked Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain to have mercy on his party and withdraw his controversial remarks.

Hussain was accused of using threatening language against Rangers personnel who raided the MQM headquarters Nine Zeroon March 11 and asking for intervention by foreign institutions and countries in the internal matters of Pakistan.

Addressing the inaugural ceremony of Walton Overhead Bridge in Lahore, Saad Rafique said the nation and state institutions have disliked Altaf Hussain’s  poisonous  remarks.

He said the MQM chief should withdraw his statements and apologise to the nation.

Saad Rafique said that people of Karachi will be protected from extortionists and target killers.

Lashing out at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), he said the judicial commission has exposed Imran Khan’s lies.

The minister said that false allegations by Imran Khan and Altaf Hussain are unacceptable.
