ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) on Thursday has issued reviewed tariff of power generated through Quaid-e-Azam Solar Power project at Rs 14.85 per unit.
It seems that the historic solar power project of the country will not bring any relief for the crisis-hit population.
Earlier, Nepra had divided the project’s power tariff into two parts. Tariff for first ten years was set Rs 18.4 per unit while for next 15 years was Rs 8.19 per unit.
The authorities said the department received review plea on June 12.
However, if the 100 Mega Watt (MW) project is not completed in one year, the reviewed tariff will be annulled.
