Summary Speaker delayed matter of de-seating by 2 days on Khursheed Shah's advice.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf s (PTI) members of National Assembly have refused to return to assembly after the issue of their de-seating was postponed till Thursday, reported Dunya News.
The issue of de-seating of PTI members has been postponed for further 2 days as negotiating rounds between political parties have not yielded any results.
On the beginning of the Assembly session on Tuesday, Sheikh Aftab requested Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Jamiat-e-Ulema Fazl (JUI-F) to withdraw their motions against PTI.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman asked for 10 days while MQM members asked for delay of 2 days in reaching consensus on de-seating issue. Farooq Sattar said that the issue of absence of 40-days from National Assembly should be solved by means of a constitutional amendment.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that motions should be decided today instead of getting delayed any further.
Opposition leader Khurshid Shah said that he stands with PTI on the matter for parliament and democracy’s sake. Speaker delayed the matter of de-seating by 2 days on Khurshid Shah’s advice.
