The Indus River System Authority (IRSA) reopened the Chashma-Jhelum link canal despite serious reservations from Sindh. Punjab Senior Provencal Minister Raja Riaz welcomed the decision and criticized the opposition for politicizing the issue.Raja Riaz was speaking to the media outside the Punjab assembly where he said the opposition was trying to increase misunderstanding between the provinces. He reiterated that Punjab is not using the water of any other province and informed that no province opposed the opening of the Chashma Jehlum Link Canal. He added that Punjab is ready to sacrifice everything for Sindh.
