Summary Members of parliament said India cannot be trusted

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Will the meeting between Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his Indian counterpart melt some ice and take Indo-Pak relations to next level or will it prove to be another photo-op, the parliament members have expressed varied views in this regard.

General (retd) Abdul Quyyum said that problems will not be resolved by commenting or holding meetings until the viewpoint of Indian leaders changes.

Babar Awan said RAW is Pakistan’s visible enemy, adding that it is not difficult to deal with the visible enemy but the ones that pull our beard while sitting in our lap are the ones we need to be careful about.


Sahar Kamran said Pakistan has always welcomed peace but India cannot be trusted.

Kamil Ali Agha said that betterment is not expected from minds like those of Indian rulers.

Talha Mahmood said that Indian rulers will strengthen themselves by staying silent and will again start conspiring against Pakistan by regrouping.

Zulfiqar Khosa said Pakistan PM should not trust any sureties given by India.

The members of parliament have said that the history is witness that India has hit Pakistan in the back while extending a hand of friendship, adding that India will have to do away with its hypocrisy if it’s serious about regional peace.
