The opposition leader in Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Zaheeerud Din has alleged that Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif went to Islamabad for opening of Chashma-Jehlum Link Canal however CM compromised on Punjabs water right for saving his government.Chaudhry Zaheer was talking to media outside the Punjab Assembly where he said that the government commitments have no validity. He said that when CM went to Islamabad for reducing loadshedding in the province, he came back by agreeing on the decision to close markets by 8:00 PM. He said that at least 2.3 million Acre land of Southern Punjab will confront with acute shortage of water due to the closure of Chashma-Jehlum Link Canal. He further informed that PML-Q will continue with its protest until the Chashma-Jehlum Link Canal is reopened.
